  Fansubbers, fans, and the American anime industry have a love/hate relationship with each other. The obvious stated, the best recent example of this is Viz’s sudden issue of a Cease and Desist letter to fansubbing groups subbing Death Note… with only one episode left. The furor that has ensued, while understandable, is largely misguided.
